The recent fund-raising sight-seeing excursion ("The Mountain Adventure") on 3-17-11 was a resounding success, with 41 in attendance and perfect weather to boot. According to on site reports from those attending, they all enjoyed the sights, food, drinks and the shopping opportunity, where nearly everybody found that piece of pottery or trinket they could not live without. In all, it was a 10 hours journey. This was for the benefit of CRIC, which received RD$ 26,905 with the added bonus of an RD$ 750 contribution from Mark & Louise Savelsberg from the Gym Bar, who donated RD$ 50 for each dinner at their establishment that night, making it a total donation of RD$ 27,655 to CRIC. Kudos to Mark & Louise, as well as to the organizers Margaret Curtis, Wendy Van Buskirk and Linda Belliard, plus gofers Bob Curtis and Raf Belliard.
