I attended those meetings you mention and vividly recall the melee.
I'm glad Security will be at the Annual Meeting.

I don't wan t to get into a bunch of topics, but we have had worse than the bad behavior on Dec 7 that act was mild compared to a couple of others. That doesn't excuse the behavior. We did provide guards at one meeting a Villa Marlene and then were accused of being Nazis. We'll have security at the AGM.

After having attended the last (12-7-09) APC Town Hall meeting, I could not help but ask myself: "why do we continue to put up with ill-behaved people, hecklers and the like at such meetings?
In the recent past, I thought it had been decided to have a Security and/or National Police presence at such gatherings, in order to handle such eventualities.
I am therefore formally requesting that such a contingent be present at all of APC's meetings and that such disruptors simply be asked to leave or be forcibly ejected if necessary.
