| Lets leave any comment until after the court case is resolved and whatever the outcome, we shall have to deal with it in a practical and positive manner with the ultimate aim, I hope, of returning to an environment where people can have opposing views but still contribute positively to the community. That is what law 122-05 is all about. Its not exactly bedtime reading, but its worth a read since it does regulate how a community such as Costambar should run. It is up to the community to hold those in office to those high principles. The President and Board are answerable to the members, not vice versa..
This is a very fractious community. We all have our points of view, I did not vote for the current board but so far Stanley has responded to all my questions about the financials which I could never get answered before. So at least one of them is trying to do a decent job. | |

| Its a shame that so many lies are being told concerning the APC election. Facts are facts. There are not versions of the truth. Fact: According to Dominican law, Yash was not eligible to run for president. Anyone who cares to deny this, and as far as I know, no one has, is a liar. Fact: The committee from Puerto Plata stated the election was improper. Who wants to deny this? Maybe some one wants to call them liars too? Fact: In the current court action to annul the election, the judge did not "Throw out the Case". The case is not being started from square one. That is a lie. The case was referred to a different court.
Fact: Currently a case is in progress where Yash is accused of threatening to kill a man. Update: Yash delayed the verdict by suddenly announcing 5 new witnesses. Will be interesting to hear their version of the truth! Yash and his board attempted to delay the election court case the same way. Seems to me he does not want to hear the judge's answer!
Fact: Yash and his board filed a frivolous action against me in an attempt to silence me. Some might call that extortion. Fact: Yash has recently been accused of selling a transformer that did not belong to him. Witnesses include security officers.
Now anyone, who wants to justify any of this, in my opinion, has a really warped sense of truth and honesty. I have stated many things about the election. I have never told a single lie! I never had any reason to lie, and still do not. However, considering the potential liability the APC board has now, they are very much in a position to want to twist the truth.
I entered this mess as an independent observer, but after seeing such blatant disregard for the law, by the election committee and the current board, I can no longer be unbiased. Concerning accusations made against me and others for causing dissention, we did not violate the law, we are trying to uphold it. It does not matter how much good the current board is doing (or otherwise). What they are doing, anything they are doing is probably illegal in the eyes of Dominican law. Since the president is illegal, and maybe at least 2 of board members also, they do not have legal authorization to do it.
